Buchanan won its sixth consecutive CIF Central Section Masters Division 1 girls cross country title and the 24th in program history at Woodward Park in Fresno. Freshman Kynzlee Buckley led a sweep of the top three spots for Buchanan, covering the 5-kilometer layout in 17:39.58, with senior Grace Hutchison placing second in 17:46.77 and sophomore Sierra Cornett taking third in 17:54.52. Sophomore Avery Hutchison finished fifth in 18:26.39, senior Sydney Sundgren secured seventh in 18:34.41 and freshman Tayler Torosian earned eighth in 18:36.79 for reigning state champion Buchanan, which prevailed against Clovis North by an 18-42 margin to advance to the Division 1 final Nov. 26 at Woodward Park.
